Winter is here and that means there is no shortage of activities or events to take part in – in and around the Cachet Grand Valley community. Here are some of the best ways to make the most of this snowy season.

Enjoy the Outdoors

Grand Valley is teeming with wildlife and nature, lending itself to adventures and exploration. The Luther Marsh is open all year long and is a hot spot for local hikers, with trails running throughout the property. The Upper Grand Trailway is another wonderful way to get outdoors this season, as it accommodates snowmobilers as well as cross country skiers.

Dine

There’s nothing like enjoying a warm and delicious meal after coming in from the cold. Landman Gardens and Bakery is a fixture in the Grand Valley community. You can purchase fresh and flavourful baked goods, ready-made meals and meat from their farm store, or arrange to have dinner in their charming restaurant, Blackhouse. Marie’s Valley Inn Restaurant, Mill Creek Pub and Restaurant and Grand River Chop House offer wonderful dining options as well, serving up all-day breakfast, classic diner favourites and hearty comfort food.

Attend an Event

Those already living in Grand Valley love to host seasonal festivities that are the perfect way to spend time with family and friends. The Santa Claus Parade, Gingerbread House Decorating, the Grand Valley Tree Lighting and Christmas in The Valley Craft and Gift Sale are wonderful ways to get into the holiday spirit and celebrate the season with both neighbours and visitors.
